Kate Walsh Divorce Drama: Too Close to her Costar
As they held each other at Katherine Heigl's 30th birthday party, no one could have thought anything was wrong between Kate Walsh and her husband of 14 months. "They were dancing up a storm, having a really good time together," one partygoer tells Star. "There were no signs that there was any trouble in paradise."
Yet just a week after Katherine's Nov. 15 bash at her mother's L.A. house, Kate and hubby Alex Young called it quits, according to divorce papers he filed in Los Angeles. So what went wrong in such a short time between the Private Practice star and her studio exec husband? We have the scoop in our Dec. 29 issue — on sale now!
Friends say one of the main reasons her marriage has gone south has been Kate's growing closeness with David Sutcliffe, the divorced hunk who plays her love interest on her Grey's Anatomy spin-off. As Kate's Dr. Addison Montgomery and David's character, cop Kevin Nelson, have grown closer since he turned up at her practice for a physical, so have the actors.
"Kate really likes David, and knowing that didn't help Alex's fragile ego," a friend of the actress says. "Kate and David had a real connection playing lovers on the show, and she didn't seem to have that with her own husband."

I hope she's not confusing the ACTING they are being paid to do with a real life connection.

She is getting too close with Rory's dad?? Yes I still call him Christopher from his role on Gilmore Girls.

I'd like to be too close to David Sutcliff.
No doubt, and I don't see the problem in ENDING your marriage BEFORE you cheat. That is the way it SHOULD be IMHO..........

you know, I was watching Private Practice yesterday and was super convinced that her and her cop-boyfriend on the show had amazing chemistry and wondered if there was anything off-screen going on....
