we painted it ourselves with paint we'd purchased for the rest of the house.
So you bought an unfinished one and just painted it? What kind of paint - flat, semi-gloss, etc? I would like to get a bed with drawers for our BR, but haven't really liked any of the finished ones I've seen.

I love your home. It's exactly want I wanted but FAR from what I got! Next time.

I think it was eggshell actually...we really just used paint we had already.
it has a slight sheen and looks great. saved us about $150 bucks too.
we also stained the cabinetry in the den ourselves. MORE work...much more room for error, but it came out decent and saved us at least $500
