Re: Any Teachers here with M/S
oh my gosh Tara I'm so sorry.... I consider myself INCREDIBLY lucky not having m/s while teaching. I can't imagine having to sing and dance feeling like that! The worst part is that the bathroom is so far away!
I'm sorry hon

Re: Any Teachers here with M/S
I feel your pain...and Im SOOO sorry that you are going thru M/S.
I was a frequent flyer to the bathroom during the school dayin the beginning of my pregnancy. What helped me:
It was like 90 degrees in my classroom (september ) I always stood in front of the fan...Crack your clasroom window. The cool breeze helped me. Ice cold water helped me. Sour sucking candies. I did plan activiies that had the kids moved aroudn the classroom a lot bc I felt like it kept me more occupied bc I was constently moving around.
For lunch, I would eat grilled cheese....That helped me for the afternoon. I have a mini fridge in my classroom and kept icepops...and ice chips. (you can even keep the ice chips in a cooler. That was definitly a good thing. I will keep thinking about what else I did.

Re: Any Teachers here with M/S
I did...it was terrible...
I eventually got an rx for reglan, which helped tremendously, but i remember one hot day last june when nothing worked and I was in the bathroom for about 40 minutes just puking up my guts...
...good times...
If it makes you feel any better, I barely even remember that part of the pregnancy unless somebody asks or I am telling a story etc...
It will pass--i promise!

They are bands you wear on your wrists. They are magnetic or something. Seasick bands. I have no clue if they work, but it might be worth a shot.

Re: Any Teachers here with M/S
i also let the teacher next door in on the fact that i'm pregnant (we're close too, so that helped) so she'd be there to cover the kids in case i had to run out.

Re: Any Teachers here with M/S
I know a lot of people swear by the sea bands. You can get them at any drugstore. "The sea band operates my exerting pressure on the accupressure points on each wrist."

Re: Any Teachers here with M/S
I suck on preggie pop drops while teaching and NEVER want to see another pretzle ever again I ate so many.
It's not easy to teach with MS
I hope it subsides soon!

Re: Any Teachers here with M/S
Ugh, I can't imagine. I had it all summer and luckily it went away the 1st week of Sept. I could barely function, let alone work. I hope you feel better! Try sour patch kids. They worked like a charm for me.

They didn't work for me but it is worth a shot. M/S is awful!! I hated working during that time. I couldn't imagine having to teach thought. That has to be hard.
