the one in bay shore---its slim pickings. most of the stuff thats left for kitchen are items that are open box and stuff most people don't buy as much anyway.
there are still lots of sheets and bedding though. i don't know about other LNTs.

My SIL said the one in Levittown on Hempstead Turnpike closed already. she got some things very cheap. I want to check one out this weekend. I noticed even their website was slim pickings.

The one by us only discounted to 30-50% off and ended up spending WAY too much on holiday tableclothes and napkins. I should have waited.

That's why I won't go! I am afraid I will buy stuff I don't need and spend way too much because of a sale!

Re: Has anyone been to Linens -n-Things, is it worth checking out?
I was in the one on Sunrise Highway by the Sunrise mall a week ago.
Everything was 30% off and there wasn't much at all. A lot of open boxes, or things with no boxes. I bought hangers and lint rollers. Other than that, the only other thing I saw that was worthwhile were regular pillows.
I wouldn't go back

I went last night and things were 50% off. I got curtains that I needed and my mom got washclothes. They had the kitchenaid stand mixers at 50% off, if I had a shower, that would be awesome!

I just went today (I live in NJ) and did pretty well.
I was really looking for a large area rug for the nursery, but they didn't have anything that would work in there. Although the prices were as all the rugs were 80% off their price, and they had some really nice rugs!

Which one did you go to? The one on Rt 10? Did they have anything else?

Yup, that was the one I went to. They seemed to still have alot of stuff. Lots of bedding, towels, kitchen stuff. I got really cute vintage looking little hanging mirrors for the nursery....3 for 20 bucks! Everything in the store is 50-70% off. Like I mentioned all the area rugs were 80% off!
I was also tempted to go into the Circut City which is also closing so they are having mega sales, but I had to get home.

there was a big report on the news about them since they were closing, they had reporters go in and look at price tags - they noticed that they had actually marked UP the prices and then marked them 50 off!!

This happens all the time once the liquidators take over. Circuit City is doing the same.
