I discussed with my doctor and she thinks it's probably a slight deficiency in magnesium. I noticed that when I had caffeine it disappears and she's said it's okay to have my can of coke a day to treat...

OMG YES!!! I feel like I have been battling headaches every single day. I find that they get worse the less I drink. I have been trying to keep myself very hydrated throughout the day.

Thank you. Maybe I will put that one soda a day back into my diet. I never had these problems with my other pregnancies.

Honestly I feel like I have some sort of a deficiency in something.

YES! They started around 10 weeks and my DR actually suggested I have caffeine every day. (Not more than the recommended amount!) It's been a lifesaver. But if I try to skip a day the migraine starts right up.

I used to get headaches every single day in my first trimester. This was due to a combination of cutting out caffiene completely and due to all the wacky hormonal changes going on in my body. Once the first trimester was done, my headaches left as well. Thank GOD!!!

It will get better!!!

in the beginning i did - they say it's because of a change in hormones. i did have a pretty awful one about 2 weeks back that lasted a week - it was a tension headache (you could feel the knot) and the tylenol just wasn't cutting it. it took a lot of hot showers and dh giving me back/neck rubs plus a change in pillows to get rid of it.

try drinking a lot of water and if you think it's tension related do what i did because it really did help. if you think it's sinus related try getting a neti pot to relieve some of the pressure. sometimes a tylenol and a bit of caffeine helps. it could also be the hormones, but if it's still causing problems contact your dr. headaches can be a sign of pre-eclampsia but that's not usually an issue until late in pregnancy.

I have had them pretty consistently throughout the pregnancy.

I am getting them daily!! It is horrible!!! Some days they are migraines-I take Tylenol, drink coffee and lay with an ice pack! I am in my second trimester-hopefully it will get better!

i used to get terrible migraine headaches everyday pre pregnancy i feel like this baby has been its cure!!!!! i havent had one since BFP!

Yes and they always seem to be on my right side behind my eye...I actually was starting to get worried about it because it was so localized...

Thank you to veryone for the great advice. I did cut out caffine so maybe I should try and have a little. I'm sure a little more rest wouldn't hurt either but with two other small kids - that's not going to happen to much. I'm counting down the week and half until the second trimester in hope that a lot of my ailments dissapear.

I do feel better that I'm not the only one getting migrains. I never understood how horrible a migrain really could be............

Yup and it's awful! I get even more nauseous with them. I try to drink coke and it helps a little, but not much.

YES - for me it's sinus headaches.... Zyrtec takes away most of the pain. It at least takes it from pain on a 10 to pain on a 4....which is MUCH more dealable with!

Yes, but they are beginning to subside now, (knock wood) -- I drink iced tea every day, and sleep only on my left side. Both things seem to help.

I had them both times when I was pregnant. What I learned was that I really, really needed more sleep & to drink more water.

I highly recommend lunchtime naps, if possible. Worked like a charm for me.

I got them every day thru much of my 1st trim. Now that I'm in my 2nd trim, they haven't been as often. But I did get one of my 3-day migraines the other day and was wishing for someone to kill me. 2 Tylenol Extra strength, a little caffeine and an ice pack seem to help somewhat.

I did in the late first trimester. They were so bad I couldn't get out of bed. Then around 13-14 weeks they went away.

I am getting a lot of headaches with this pregnancy. I notice a connection with sinus issues. I try Tylenol, sudafed, caffeine, naps, saline spray, humidifier. Nothing fully cures the headaches.

I did for all of the first trimester & the beginning of the second trimester. Around 20 weeks they stopped coming so frequently

I had terrible headaches a few weeks into the first trimester. The only thing that helped was to drink a ton of water and every once in a while I drank something with caffeine in it.

Luckily, I am now in second trimester and haven't had any headaches like it. Hopefully same will happen for you!
