Need help girs... I cant keep it together
Alot is going on right now and i cant seem to stop crying..I mean i do for a min then snap i start again when i talk to my mom or brother. My mom has been very sick suffered from a brain hemmorage and is doing great but the stress of whats going on with my brother is just not right for either of us.
Here is a summary of story: my brother was dating a girl who was 16 at time he was 18 parents were in agreement all was fine. THen they broke up daddy was a lawyer and so he decided to put restraining order on brother. Well brother tried to save day cuz girl calls saying her dad is beating her so he drives there and violates the order. No charges are pressed and long story short he is looking at facing jaill time plus probation. It isnt fair in my book cuz they never did a trial just had my brother with a lawyer agree to some agreement. So now he is all depressed and i just cant stand the fact of him having to go to jail. Plus now he has to register as a sex offender. His whole life is going to be ruined becuase of this crap. It frustrates me because i dont know what i can do and i know i have to stay calm for my baby but its hard to see my whole family hurting. And of course my DH right now isnt helping he is treating him as if he is already a criminal and thinks i should just forget about it  . Well i just needed to vent and ask for some prayers. THanks again girls. I know if he goes to jail my mom is gonna be crushed and depressed and i dont know what i will do if i lose them both.

I'm so sorry. That is such an awful situation. I too have a brother going through some tough stuff and Dh also gives me the.."he did it to himself" line. I hope that it all works out. I can't imagine how hard it must be to stay calm.

I am so sorry you are going through this.
I feel like when someone in your family is hurting, it's the same as if you are hurting.
Unfortunately ILs don't feel the same pain, even when they try to. They may feel some pain but it isn't the same.

I am sorry you are going through this. Unfortunately, statutory rape (which is what I presume your brother is charged with considering he has to register) is such that there is really no defense - as long as it is proved that he was over age and she was under age - that is it - case is closed. I am sorry your brother is going through this
