Help!

I'm sorry if this is the wrong board but I need some help before I call my doctor in a panic!

I recently switched birth control pills & went to a lower dose. This will be my first full week taking the new pills & I have had pinkish brown spotting.

Has this happened to anyone else while still taking bc? I'm not sure if I could be pregnant or if the spotting is just the hormonal changes from switching pills. I never spotted when I was taking my old pills.

TIA!

Sorry - no advice - I've never been on BC but I feel bad opening a post and not responding.

I hope that everything is okay Chat Icon

Re: Help!

you called your doc - which was a good move - but i'm sure he/she will tell you that it's fine.

your body is adjusting to the newer 'levels' of hormones...

Re: Help!

its sounds like its from just changing your bc and that can happen when switching

but i would still put a call into the dr, you will feel much better when she tells you its OK

Thanks for the advise everyone! Chat Icon

I called the dr. and she said the same thing - its just from the change in hormones and my body adapting to the new pill.

I want to ttc in the next year but wasn't ready yet so I was nervous!

Re: Help!

You are probably spotting from the change in BC-that has happened to me before. Your body is just getting used to the new BC, so I wouldn't panic.

Re: Help!

I would def. call your dr. just to be sure, but I was initially on 3 different BC until I found one that worked for me and with each I had the same spotting...
