Need Family-style restaurant recs for NYC

We're planning to go to NYC this winter with my family. We'll probably go see the tree at Rockerfeller, the museum of Natural History, and out to dinner.

We were planning to go to Carmine's for dinner, but they're totally booked up for 3 monthsChat Icon Anyone have any recomendation for italian family-style restaurants that are REASONABLE in price??

Can you try the uptown Carmine's? My brother and his in-laws go there for New year's Day and this year for Christmas Eve...I don't think they get booked as fast as midtown.

Tony Dinapoli's 43rd and Broadway

I feel that the food is actually better than Carmines (I still love me some Carmines), but the atmosphere is not as cozy as Carmines.
