Absolutely no patients recently... Mini-vent
I have had NO PATIENTS with a lot recently... I teach middle school .. and I can give my students a quick rundown on directions, or tell them to look at the board for their homework.. and STILL someone will ask the question I had just gone over with them just 5 seconds later... I cannot deal... I know this is the nature of students, but I just cant take it anymore!!!
Anyone else losing patients? Anyone have any suggestions on how to relax and just deal?

I have been going through this at work a lot lately, I've been counting to 10 quite a bit lately and hearing my Mom in my head saying "patience is a virtue.."

Yes, poor DH, I have no patience lately! And forget about shopping....I run at the sight of long lines....I just try to count to 10 in my head before responding to annoying people at work.

OMG, totally! My patience levels have drastically gone down. I constantly have to put my clients on hold to re-group my thoughts or else i will loose it!!

Yes! I stopped working at 36 weeks, but prior to that I had no patients with my 4th graders! I felt terrible about it, but I just couldnt help it! It was awful!

I'm early along but I have NO patience and I'm home with a 2 1/2 year old and 9 month old all day and all night long. My 2 1/2 year old is driving me nuts and it's sooooo hard not to get mad. He knows that I'm getting annoyed so he tries to test me more. I have such stress in the pit of my stomach constantly.

HAha.. so glad to see im not the only one!!! I officially told my students last week, and now they know why I am being such a b!tch!!!! I just feel bad for them.. and I wonder how I am going to make it until April dealing with all of this!!! I started answering their questions with "I just went over that... you are going to have to find someone who was listening and ask them.." but by the end of the day.. all I want to do is sleep and forget about it all!

i teach middle schoolers with autism - a class full of boys and while they're high functioning i feel like i have a bunch of 13 year old toddlers. all they do is tattle on each other and puch each other's buttons - constant bickering. it's driving me crazy and i feel bad b/c they really are good kids, but i just have no patience as of late.
plus we have all our NYSAA due and i'm on two committees at work (where i'm the background person picking up all the slack) and grad school two nights a week with incompetent professors. needless to say i'm ready for maternity leave at week 13.

I could NEVER teach middle school so I think you're a saint. Hoever teaching 1st graders has taken a toll on me. I have ZERO patience and After the 5th time giving directions I just throw my hands in the air. I start maternity leave Dec. 23rd. I can not wait!!!!!
