When is miscarriage % decreased

I got my BFP yesterday at 10DPO and am about 3 weeks. Had my hcg yesterday and it was 39, get tested again tomorrow. I am terrified that I will miscarry. When does the miscarriage possibility decrease? 12 weeks?? This is my first pregnancy and am very new at this....

Re: When is miscarriage % decreased

Every day you progress the chances decrease. After 8 weeks it goes down dramatically, then again at 10 weeks. And so on...

Re: When is miscarriage % decreased

after you see/hear a heartbeat the chance decreases, and then again after you pass the 1st trimester.

Re: When is miscarriage % decreased

I stopped worrying about miscarrying at 12 weeks, when we had the ultrascreen. I believe most miscarriages occur before that.

My doctor said the highest percentage occur between weeks 6-8, but you can start feeling more safe after the first trimester (week 13).

If you go to pregnancy.org they have a chart of how much the overall % changes throughout the PG.

Re: When is miscarriage % decreased

I just wanted to add that when I got my BFP I too was terrified of miscarrying. It was on my mind every second of every day. You wont stop worrying, but as your pregnancy progresses, it'll subside a little bit. I got my BFP at 11dpo. I'm now 5weeks 1 day pregnant (2 weeks later) and its not on my mind AS MUCH. Its still a possibility of course and I do worry...but every day that goes by I feel a bit better.

Re: When is miscarriage % decreased

At 6 weeks 2 days, I am also a wreck about miscarriage and have been ever since we got our BFP. Since it is my first time, I am constantly battling "normal vs. Abnormal" feelings/sensations. I am trying to enjoy being PG and trying to avoid negative thinking . . .

at my 10 1/2 week appt ( second sono) dr said my chances were low, and said that when i show up to my 12 1/2 appt(ultrascreen) that it would be at almost 0..

dh however felt better at 14 1/2 week appt- knowing baby was in me for 3 months
