How long did it take...
for you to get your Nuchal translucency test results????
Im getting worried, its taking so long....
2 weeks on Friday...

Are you sure they were going to call if there wasn't a concern? I went last Monday and the Dr. said I will only hear from them if there is a concern.

Are you sure they were going to call if there wasn't a concern? I went last Monday and the Dr. said I will only hear from them if there is a concern.
Ive called twice, and they have the sono, but not the blood work....
Im a little freaked because at first I was told by my Dr and nurse that once the sono was in, they'd be able to give me an idea of the results.... then yesterday they said "the sono means nothing w/o the blood work"

I had mine the same day, but that's because the blood was done 2 weeks before my sono so they already had the results.
I've heard that it can take up to 2 weeks for ultrascreen results to come in.

I had my test on a Tuesday, and I got my results on Friday... but, I will say that every doc is different. I have all my tests done at the hospital, since that is where my doc is-- so, I think all of my results are expedited because of that.
Try not to worry too much-- it's more frustrating than anything. Your office should be calling the lab for you and asking where the hell the results are!

My tests were done in a STONY BROOK HOSPITAL related office...
My office did call, and said the blood work just takes longer
I guess Im just reading into the whole "we can get an idea from a sono" and now magically we know NOTHING w/o blood work...
I did no EXTRA testing with my 1st, for this exact reason... Its sooo stressful!

i agree! the testing is so stressful....i had to fast for the 3 hr....i was sick to begin with so not eating made me feel like i couldnt walk 2 feet without support.....i am delivering at stonybrook also and have had most testing done thru their "group".....i remember thre was one test...i think when they test for down symdrome and all that that they said they would call on monday with results....i waited all weekend..a nervous wreck and monday came and went..i called the obgyn and of course the office is closed mondays.....so i waited until tuesday and she said they only call for concerns.....WELL I WAS CONCERNED ALL G**DAMN WEEKEND!!! LOL....smile!

The bloodwork and sono go hand in hand, that's how they come up with the "formula" for your risk of downs, trisomy(sp?), etc... The AFP bloodwork done usually at 16 weeks, also is the 2nd part of this test which they use the results from the ultrascreen to calculate risks as well.
Trust me, I know how stressful it all is! We've had alot of "scares" this pregnancy and even at 30 weeks, I still get so nervous before any Dr. appointment and test.

Most offices are no news = good news. If you haven't heard from them in 2 weeks, your results are probably fine.
I called the doctor's office after a week and got my results then.

i have usually had to call for results.. otherwise the dr gives the results at your next appointment.

I KNOW my results are not in...since the office has been in contact with me...
So no news- does not necessarily = good news at this point...
