Cleaning products
Okay... I'm a neat nut. Always lysol'ing the table and everything. I usually wipe down my desk (especially since someone is always sick in my office so I try to keep it clean and wipe the computer, desk and phone). Anyway... I was spraying lysol the other day and another girl in the office said it's dangerous for pregnant woman to use cleaning sprays. I googled it and read the products today aren't so harmful and just wash your hands after.
What's your opinion on cleaning products and pregnancy?

Re: Cleaning products
I use "method" brand cleaning products that are all natural. I have never been a big fan of cleaning products and all the chemicals in them, especially being an asthmatic i get attacks very easily from the fumes.
We especially don't use disinfectants such as lysol......killing all that bacteria all the time and creating a "sterile" enviroment will only lower your immune system and make you more susceptible to getting sick.

Thanks! I never did either. Just got me worried when someone said that cleaning products can be unsafe for the baby. I was wondering if anyone changed to wearing gloves or something

I love it when people think pregnant women should live in bubbles. I haven't changed anything, if anything does happen to bother you, just crack open a window.

Re: Cleaning products
I only stay away from the strong chemicals like bleach and amonia. Otherwise, I use everything I used before getting PG.
