When did you all tell work?
I am 8 weeks 1 day and i have a very busy/ physical job (I am a RN). i was going to hold off until the new year to tell my director, but I am not sure if i should let her be aware bc of what my job can entail sometimes. What did everyone else do?

Re: When did you all tell work?
I told me boss as soon as it was confirmed by the doctor (7 or 8 weeks) b/c i am a teacher and my job can be physical as well, so i wanted her to be aware, plus i needed some time off for doctors appointments.
I told everyone else at 12 weeks, although about 75% already knew when i was about 10 weeks b/c apparently i was showing.

I didn't tell them until 15 weeks but I work in an office where there is nothing to be concerned about.

Re: When did you all tell work?
first pregnancy i told everyone right away. i am a doctor and was in a particularly demanding part of my training (night float, 8pm-8am, 5 days a week) for the first 4 weeks of my pregnancy. so i felt like i needed everyone around me to know.
this time around my life is much more chill and i am choosing not to tell anyone until 12 weeks.

Re: When did you all tell work?
I told my boss at 7 weeks because I wasn't feeling well, and wanted him to know if I ran out of a meeting or something. Turns out he was very sympathetic because his wife is due the week after me!
I told my work best friends right away, and will tell everyone else this week after my 12-week sono if all goes well.

Re: When did you all tell work?
I told my boss at 11 weeks after I had a sonogram & had heard the heartbeat. He already suspected since I was so sick. Everyone else at work started to find out after that.

Re: When did you all tell work?
First time I told at 8 weeks - before I even told my family. I figured at that point if something bad had happened I'd need some time off anyway and I don't see my boss everyday, it was an opportunity to tell him face to face. He was a very understanding family focused person.
This time is a little different... my company is going through some changes and I have a different boss right now (although that'll change again beginning of next year). I'm hoping to chill until 12 weeks, however, I have a meeting I may have to fly to in December and again January... if the doctor says no b/c I'm high risk then I'll have to say something sooner. I'm waiting to make sure I have a position still first. If I have to interview I won't say anything and try to hide it if I'm showing.
