I got a BFP!
In the past I've been a lurker on this site but I can finally join this board!
Just got my BFP this morning!!  I have to wait until tonight to tell DH and I feel like I'm going to burst!
I guess my first question is when did you tell your family? Did you wait 12 weeks or did you tell them immediately? My inlaws live far away and we're going to see them this weekend for Thanksgiving. it would be nice to tell them in person but I'm only 6 weeks from the first date of my last AF (would this make me 6 weeks preggo in medical terms?).
Just wondering what you did and what your thoughts are!

both times DH and i told our families immediately. we can't keep a secret to save our lives! we won't tell any friends, though, until 12 weeks.

We told our immediate family right away and told the rest once we had the first sono and saw/ heard HB.

We told our immediate family after our first Ob appointment. After we saw the heartbeat, we couldn't not tell.

We told our familt a week after getting our BFP on Fathers Day! There was NO WAY we'd be able to wait 12 weeks!!

We waited until 12 weeks, our families are all over the place from NY to NC to Alaska ...so we made a slide show and emailed it to everyone

I couldn't wait to tell my immediate family... i called my mom and my sister right after i peed on the stick! I will be 12 weeks at Christmas and will share with more family then.

since your in laws live far away, i think you should tell them! they are immediate family after all!
jsut tell them to please keep it a secret until you reach 12 wks.

We told our parents right away but won't be telling any friends until 12 weeks. (I did tell a female co-worker of mine because we were both TTC and had agreed to let one another know immediately if one of us got pregnant so that the other would stop TTC for a few months so that we wouldn't both be taking maternity leave at the same exact time).

We had our list of people that we just had to tell immediately- I am not a good secret keeper when I have exciting news to share!
