Bottle warmers??

Is this a necessity? And which ones would you recommend. Thanks!

Took it off my registry becuz all moms I spoke to said it's a waste.

Not necessary. We used to run some hot water into a bowl and just sit DD's bottle in it for a minute or 2.

Though I dont think it is 'necessary'; I did register for one.

Reason being, if DS is up between 12-6 AM (before I get up for work) DH will be the one to feed him since he doesnt get home from work until 11 and stays up for a bit

That being said, I felt that the bottle warmer would be easier for DH if I have some bottles ready and all he has to do is warm them.

I registered for The First Years Night & Day Bottle Warmer.

I have and never used it--its under my sink.

Unnecessary and most are difficult to use, either not heating it enough or heating it too much.

heard they are a waste too-- also, you don't want your kid to always expect a warm bottle.. for those times when you can't warm.

I'm on the fence. - Some say it's a must have, some say it's a waste.

I'm personally leaning toward waste .......Does the baby's bottle HAVE to be warm? What if you're somewhere and you can't warm the bottle? Then what? You have a kid that won't eat?

I kept a small pot next to my sink and would throw the bottle in there for a few seconds to take the chill out

I'm in the minority....We have a 2 level house and it literally takes 10 minutes for the water in my bathroom sink to get hot upstairs, so we relied on the bottle warmer at night, until we switched from BM and liquid formula (which had to be kept cold at night) over to the powdered- then he got room temp bottles...So IMO, it depends I guess, if my water heated a little quicker, then maybe not a necessity, but for us it was a god-send The on-the-go ones stink though

Not sure if your planning on Bfing.. but I read that Breast milk shouldnt be warmed up in bottle warmer b/c it breaks it down. Instead to warm in cup of warm water.

Once i was done bfing i had my dd drink room temp formula.. it was easier especially now im grateful b/c i can give her cold milk and not have to worry about warming it up.

thanks for all the replys guys...I think I'll pass on this one...we already have so much to worry about that I can't imagine researching which is the best bottle warmer to register for...Thanks for your help again!

my SIL told me a long time ago NEVEr to get one.she was using one driving on the souther state and it started to burn..yes burn the bottle..she said it was ont he correct setting..and had only been on for less than the recommended time.....i've been afraid of them since lol i can see me standing ont he side of the parkway with 2 infants in tow and a burning new car lol
