Re: skinny ***bun in the oven??
I had read the original and found it to be too strict...my friend sent me the pg version and I didnt even read it because I knew I would be freaked out and not follow it anyway.
Its bad enough the guilt I feel have splenda in my tea every day- I dont need to fee like my meat and non-organic produce is harming my little one

i was dying to read this, but my friends would not allow me to buy it in the bookstore lol and after speaking to alot of them at length, i realized i just have way too many food issues to read it..i want whats best for my baby, i dont want to turn pregnancy into a crazy eating disorder for myself, and i feel like...FOR ME..(just want to clarify that) this book would mess with my head alil too much

Re: skinny ***bun in the oven??
I read it-- I also read the original book. I think you have to take it with a grain of salt... I am already a vegetarian and I get overwhelmed thinking about all of the changes that the book tells you to make. I try to be organic vegan at home-- but, when I go out-- there is no way I can adhere to that kind of diet.
I think it's very eye opening in the sense that it teaches you what you should be looking for, the importance of reading labels-- and how important it is to look for and find the best products for you and your baby.
The thing I take away the most from the book is don't trust big companies!! They put lots of shite in our food/products-- and it's important to be aware of this so you can make the best decisions.

Re: skinny ***bun in the oven??
I have definite food issues, and I know ppl around me were frightened at how I was going to be while PG....I heard about this book, and knew all too well that it would mess with my head more, so I didn't get it...I am a huge watcher of what I eat, and have let myself be indulgent a few times being pregnant, I think a book like that goes majorly overboard...Everything in moderation, when Pregnant and when Not is key!!!
