Prank calling...WWYD - UPDATED
Let me start by saying that I am a total beast when it comes to tolerating this sort of thing since I use my phone for business.
I am getting annoying prank calls from a kid...sounds about 11 or 12. I just did a quick reverse lookup of the phone number and I have a name and an address. The kid calls again... Do I ask to speak with Mr/Mrs. <Last name here>?

UPDATED: Ok so they called back again & I asked to speak with Mrs. {last name}. The kid went Oh S(*#^% and dropped the phone. I think they'll stop.

if it happens more than once or twice then yeah i'd say to call the parents... its one thing if he's just being a cooky kid and pranked you once and then stopped, but if he keeps doing it, def call the parents

I would call back OR the next time they call ask to speak to Mr. or Mrs. [Last Name]. That ought to scare them enough to stop.

That was my thought behind it. Scare the shyte out of them, especially if I ask for his parents by name. Just thought maybe it was creepy & taking it too far......

Hell yeah. I might even call the number and get an adult on the line and tell them what is happening.

if they are calling your cell then i would absolutely call back and ask to speak to a parent. if it was once, i MIGHT let it slide, but more than once? no way.

Yep! That's what I'd do and my mother has done it before.
I get it, they're 12 and just having fun, but after so many times it's a huge disruption for you. Call them back immediately after the next time they call and try and block your # so they don't avoid picking it up.

This thread reminded me of when I was about 13 and my friend and I pranked this older guy that we thought was cute. Before caller ID and call waiting of course. But my friend's mother would call my house and if she couldn't get through (remember busy signals?) she would have to operator break in and say "there's an emergency call for phone xxx-xxxx". Of course it was my house and my # and he figured out who was calling. 
I didin't know people make prank calls in 2008. I'm glad it sounds resolved for you.

That kid will never make another prank call again.
He is stupid if he doesn't know to dial *67. I used to love making prank phone calls. In HS we used to charge the younger girls $1 to watch us make the calls. We tried to cancel soccer practice.
