Mom

had a mammo last week. Now they want a sono. They said on the phone it's because she had no films with her. They couldn't find them when they moved back from AZ. So they need some other pics.

I'm nervous. Mom isn't. Maybe it is just that, but anytime you get called back it worries me.

Then in that case I wouldn't worry. I went for a mammo this year where I had never gone & thinking either I had & they had films or I had films with me whe I got there the Dr told me I had to get my last films & bring them there because based on what he was seeing he would say I needed a biopsy. I had already had a biopsy the previos year. Since I work in the Medical group where I use to get my mammos I went to the head of the dept & explained to her I needed them because I had a test done somewhere & based on what he saw he was saying I needed a biopasy unlesss he could see previous films. She got them & gave them to me. I left them where I now go.

oh yeah, we tried to get the films. The former doctor doesn't know which radiologist did them and can't get a hold of anyone who knows. So she went w/o anything and they asked for a sono. I think a mammo is so much better than a sono but since they have no history with her I guess they needed some more films.

She went already and is not worried. I wish I had her strength. The tech did it not the radiologist so she didn't hear anything yet.

The tech said they will send the report to her doc.

I guess it couldn't be that bad if they didn't rush her to make a biopsy appt.

eta: so glad she's here now and I can watch her and make sure she takes care of herself. Since my brother's issues both of them have to be careful not to neglect themselves.

I just realized that they might have wanted the sono because the cost is much less than doing more mammo films or an MRI.

That's how they are buidling their history on her. I think I may feel better.
