So I'm officially a lady of leisure
I was laid off But the company is taking care of me or should I say they are covering their azzes majorly....
I'm getting more this way than I would on maternity leave So I'm really happy!!!
I tired myself ot like crazy today, went to Costco only to find out they don't carry Pampers , so went to BJ's then went to Babies R Us to get a bunch of changing table stuff, and didn't like the selection, so went to Target and got all the stuff there to find out that the Pampers are cheaper there!!!! Then came home cooked something I haven't made in years and now making DH dinner...boy am I wiped out!!! I have sooo much to do, I feel like I won't get it all done!!!

Yup and instead of getting STD which is all I got for my maternity leave, I got a very nice severance package.... and unemployment!!!!

LOL...I'm sooo exhausted, more than I am when I work I'm going to try to take it easy tomorrow....I doubt I will DH is terrified I'm going to go on a spending binge now that I'm home and have to occupy myself

that's great-- plus they are talking about extended unemployment so you'll probably be covered for a while.
Sounds like you hated being there anyway... BELIEVE ME, I know what it feels like to WANT to get laid off. And you have the pressure of looking for something else taken off-- enjoy your time off!

Welcome to my world as well.
I was just laid off. I have to work a few more weeks, then I get severance and then I will file for unemployment.
I am trying to look at the bright side of things.

LOL, honestly, I'm not worried, I'm going to find a job when I need one, have a bunch of old contacts already telling me just call when you're ready to come back to work, so even if it's not a real possibility now, I know I have a huge network of ppl that I can definitely go to when I need to...
