It used to be for me too BUT I promise that you get used to it, and it becomes natural to sleep on your sides! Chat Icon

Re: Sleeping Question

Stop when it gets uncomfortable. Your body will let you know when you should start sleeping in a different position.

Exactly, same with sleeping on your back. You're going to get to a point where literally every position is uncomfortable, so you have to just take sleep however you can get it...if your stomach or back still works for you then go for it. Your body will wake you up if it's no good.

Re: Sleeping Question

I sleep on my side and use a body pillow. It does WONDERS for my comfort level!!!!!

My doc didn't really tell me a specific time to stop.....

Re: Sleeping Question

At 30+ weeks, I found a neat trick to sleeping comfortably..

I have a pillow on one side which I'll put between my legs to get comfortable and on the other side, I'll ask DH to sleep on his back so I can use him as a body pillow.... it has worked out great. :D

Re: Sleeping Question

Ever since I found out I was pregnant I stopped sleeping on my stomach. Not because my doctor told me to, or cause I read it somewhere. For some reason I just feel guilty when I'm sleeping on my belly...like its making the baby uncomfortable or something. lol I know I'm crazy but it bothers me to the point where I cant fall asleep cause I can't stop thinking about it, so I just gave up on it. I'm such a dork. Chat Icon

Since my back pain, this is the only way I can sleep. He doesnt seem to mind.
