Just got home from the hospital
Tues. evening I wasn't feeling right, feeling crampy - I called the dr. office and they told me to go to L&D.... turns out I was having contractions, and they couldn't get them to stop.
I was finally just released around 4:30pm today. I am still having contractions, but not as bad. I'm on meds to keep them under control and now on bedrest.
I got the steroid shots to get the babies' lungs to mature. Everything else was good- my cervix is still long and closed, the babies are doing well, the FFN test was neg, so hopefully these babies will stay in for a few more weeks.

wow; glad youre ok
i had a similar situation on tuesday but no contractions
i went to give blood; felt crampy so dr did an internal
i am 80% effaced and on bed rest
i go back tomorrow
rest and be well!!

Good luck Lauren-how far along are you-I think 30 weeks or so-I thought you were about a month behind me...Either way its a great sign that the FFN was negative. Contractions can happen for weeks-stay well hydrated and lounge around on your left side as much as you can.

I'm 31 weeks and the babies are a little over 3lbs each so, the doctors are happy about that, if I did deliver soon, they would need a stay in the NICU, but would be in pretty good shape.
Thanks everyone for the well wishes, I'm sure I'll be on a lot now that I am stuck at home!!

The same exact thing happened to me at 34 weeks, I just had my baby last week at 36 weeks. I was in the hospital for 5 days. They also couldn't get my contractions to stop and they had to give me steroids for his lungs. He came out perfectly healthy. The day after I stoped taking the medication for the contractions he was born. Hang in there!!! I know it's very scary but it's the best thing that they gave you the steroids.
