If your feet haven't changed by 7.5 months??

Do you think they will?

I was cheating and reading ahead on Baby Center and it said at 30 weeks, your feet start to spread...

It seems like all of the things that I thought would happen to my body during pregnancy, don't seem to be occurring-- so I have no clue what to expect.

Re: If your feet haven't changed by 7.5 months??

When I was pg my feet and ankles never swelled and i was 9mos pg in the late summer. However, I was always a size 8 sometimes a size 8.5, since having him I am always an 8.5 - not sure when it happened but must have been sometime at the end! And, so far DS is 14 mos and they haven't gone back!

mine too. I wore my reg shoes and heels until 6 days before my due date. After that I had to wear sketchers or flip flops. After the c-section I was a 1/4 size wider but not longer, so I was still a size 6, but they were tight. A 6 wide and 6-1/2 reg were too big. It has taken me a full year to get back to a regular shoe. I cannot tell you how many heels I have stepped out of while out at dinner or a party because they fit for 5 minutes and any little stretch off they came Chat Icon

Re: If your feet haven't changed by 7.5 months??

my feet never grew during or after my pregnancy. they were mildly swollen for a couple days after i gave birth (from all the IV fluid, i think), but they quickly went back to normal.

very few of the "typical" things that you read about happened to me during my pregnancy. then there were things that just seemed to come out of nowhere, that i couldn't find in any book! i think you have to take all that "what to expect" stuff with a grain of salt...

I honestly didn't notice that my feet changed until afterwards. A year after birth and my feet are still a whole size bigger! Chat Icon

Re: If your feet haven't changed by 7.5 months??

I think it may still happen. At around 30 weeks, I started developing carpal tunnel, my swelling increased in my hands, wrists, fingers and feet. So I don't think youa re out of the woods until after 30+weeks. Most of the blood volume increase takes place in the 8th mth.

my feet didn't spread until i was about 36, 37 weeks - but they went back to normal fairly quickly after i had DS, and by 8 weeks PP i was back in my old shoes.
