Update on me and babies
So went to the dr for the 4th time since I moved here 1 week ago The first day I went they found +2 protein in my urine-there is not supposed to be any protein in your urine at all. So they had me do the 24 hr urine collection and I was over their range fo rthat too. I am swollen but do not have high BP at all really(124 over 75) when they checked it. I have also gained 5 lbs in 5 days-so they are concerned. I am 34 weeks today so if anything further happens they will be delivering me most likely soon. if I do not have symptoms of preclampsia like blurreed vision, headache, upper abdominal pain-then they will just keep an eye on me.
babies weigh in at 5.15 and 5.9-yes thats right folks more than 11 lbs of baby here And boy am I feeling it. They are very active still and when we did a biophysical profile yesterday they are both practicing breathing in utero-you could see their little diaphrams moving up and down. I am still working as I work from home and have switched all my demonstrations to be done via the web so hopefully I can work until I have to go to the hospital. Send your thoughts our way that our babies are ready if they need to come and that I am too!

You must be feeling all that baby!!
Sounds like you might have your little ones soon though... Do you have a goal of what week you are trying to get to? My friend with twins were just trying to get to 35 weeks.. both her boys were over 5lbs too!

I am hoping to go 3 more weeks-as that is when my dr delivers twins. I can handle discomfort and no sleep but wow I invite you to do a quick google search on preclampsia-it's pretty scary. So I am torn. I do have a slight headache today which is one of the symptoms. I just took tylenol and if it doesn't go away I have to call my dr at her instruction.

UGH, sorry for the possible preeclmapsia, but thank g-d the babies are big and praticing they're breathing!!!!!! 11 pounds of babies is A LOT so whatever will be safest for you and them!!! I'm sure you're in great hands!!!!!!!!!!!

I just looked it up-- I was not familiar with it at all. It does sound scary-- but as long as you are being closely monitored, I think you are safe.

Do they know yet if their lungs are ready for the outside world? If so, I hope you go sooner rather than later - pre-eclampsia is scary!

I cannot imagine what it must be like carrying multiples-1 is tough enough when you get further along. Hope all goes well!

I don't know and I don't want an amnio which is why we are in a holding pattern. the Dr thinks as long as I feel well and my BP stays low I should be fine.

The boys do seem like a healthy weight! I am sending good thoughts that you are able to hold out for 3 more weeks! At least you are being monitored closely now!
