NTTCR: Soap Rash??
I have a rash on my wedding ring finger and it looks like posion ivy  It's red, swollen and is peeling. It itches and is getting worse.
So I went to the doctor today and he said it is a soap rash. According to the good doctor, soap gets under my ring when I wash my hands and it doesn't get rinsed well and it causes a rash.
I am supposed to leave my rings off for a week and mosturize and use antibiotic cream.
Has anyone ever had anything like this?

I think this happened to me but i never went to thr dr.- it just went away on its on-- mine wasn't that bad though- it wasn't swollen

yes sweety - it's the reason i no longer wear my rings all day, every day.
if i'm going to do the dishes, wash my hands, ANYTHING that requires my hands getting wet - i take my rings off EVERY time & make sure my finger is BONE dry before putting them back on....
It happened the first months after our wedding (and wearing the rings and never taking them off)....but since i started taking them off at night and all the times listed above - it hasn't happened since!

yup.... My jeweler said to take my rings off at night to let my skin breathe and rinse your hands well after taking them off at the end of the night and I no longer get that.....

Soaps always give me a rash! Especially Days of Our Lives.. 
No, I've never had a rash... but I swear my fingers start swelling at random times so some days I can't wear my wedding band.
I always take my ring off after I wash my hands and make sure it gets dry under there -not sure if that helps!
