Pediatricians and Hospitals
I live in Babylon, but am delivering in Manhansset. The pediatrician I picked is by my house and does not have priviliges at NSUH.
What do people in my situation do?

Your baby will be seen by a hospital pediatrician and then you'll go see your doctor in the 1st day or two when you go home.
Our pediatrician does not have privileges at Lenox Hill when I am delivering either.

A pediatrician on staff at the hospital will examine the baby.

This is our situation as well. Our pediatrician said we just have to see her within the 1st week.

our ped doesnt come to our hospital either- she hasnt for any of my kids (delivered in 3 different hospitals). Like the op said- the hospital Dr checks them out.

i am in the same boat. My pediatrician is on long island, and i am delivering at NY Presbyterian in Manhattan. You will just been seen by the in house pediatricians.
