Can we eat sausage???
Ok, Here's another food related question. I was talking to my mom today about thanksgiving  and she was saying how there is sausage in the stuffing she makes (HER STUFFING IS AWESOME!!) and we were wondering f I can have it. There is chop meat too (which I know is fine) and procuitto (which would be cooked so I am thinking that is fine), but what about the sausage???

I would ask your practitioner for a list of do's and don't regarding food and medication since there is no set list and it varies from practitioner to practitioner.
You can call them even if you haven't had your first appointment ans they shoudl be able to asnwer any questions you have.
I eat it....But I have VERY FEW food restrictions.

I am going for my first sono 11/17, so I will ask him then. When I had my first appointment last week, the NP didnt mention that when she went through her list. I was just wondering.

I would think it would be okay - my old OB who was pretty strict told me pepperonni and sausage on something like pizza was okay b.c it was cooked and hot. If you are worried it never hurts to pick up the phone and call your OBs office since they all seem to say different things and for your peace of mind it couldn't hurt to just ask. I don't know about the procuitto but again I would think since it is being cooked it might be okay.

I would agree to ask your own doctor, however, when i was pregnant with DS, I was obsessed with sausage and bacon - i ate it like 3 times a week. the hotter the better (this post sounds perverted!!!) - had no problems - just make sure it is cooked, but i have never heard of people eating uncooked sausage. My DS is perfect and had a normal, easy pregnancy/

My Dr does not love the sausage in the natural casing (I don't eat that anyway, so it was a moot point). I do know that some of the more conservative Drs are not thriled with sausage.
Def ask your OB or NP.

Sausage is fine. I never heard anything about it being on the no-no list. I ate it all the time while pregnant.
