How soon can you hear
the babys heartbeat on an external doppler?
I go to the Dr in a week and a half and Im wondering if this will happen during that visit?
ETA- Ill be 1day shy of 11 weeks
with DS#1 I heard it at 12 weeks

My Dr. didn't listen at my 10 week appointment, she did at the next appointment (14 weeks), and did warn me there could be a chance she wouldn't find it. I really think it depends on the position of the baby, placenta, etc.... I've heard as early as 11 weeks, and as late as 15 weeks.

The NP used a doppler at my 11 week appointment. That was the first time I heard the heartbeat. Some doctors won't even try that early though.
