Heart Palpitations...

So for the past 2 days or so I have been having some palpitations. Today its about 6-8 times and hour. Not every hour but on and off all day. Is this normal at 29 weeks. I have a Dr appt on Wed morning. Should I bump it up.

Sidenote. I have been a bit stressed lately, not PG related I mean this could be causing it, but to be on the safe side.

Would you bump the appt up?

Re: Heart Palpitations...

I would call your practitioner and mention it to them.

I get them every now and then and have called my midwife about it and they tell me that its normal to geth them every once in a while...

Re: Heart Palpitations...

I had them and they started at about the same time. Obviously speak w/ you OB but make sure you drink plenty of water and take it easy.

Re: Heart Palpitations...

What do these feel like, exactly? Since I've been pregnant, I've noticed that for a split second, sometimes I'll feel short of breath (like I'm holding my breath, I get that "scared" feeling for a moment), then I feel a pretty strong heartbeat and it's gone.

Is that what that is? I've been a little worried about it whenever it comes up, which is 1-2 a week, maybe.

Re: Heart Palpitations...

I was having them same time as you. Did you ever get them before being pg? I have. I actually have a heart dr, just went for an echo yesterday (old issue) and he said it's normal around this time, with increasing fluid, to have some palpitations. Mine did go away though, h aven't had them in a while now.

They almost feel like a flutteing in your chest. Kind of like a bird got stuck in your heart. But, I guess what you described is kind of it. It can take your breath away for a split second.

ITA. I have been having them alot, but I had issues with them in the past (MVP) so I think the PG just brings it out.

I've had those too and asked my dr. about it. She thinks b/w the heart palpitations and the shortness of breath that I may be anemic so I've just upped my iron intake.
