3D-4D Ultrasound
What are your thoughts? Im not even close to being far enough along for one, but I will probably be getting one when I can. I found a place by my house that charges: Ultrasounds After 24 Weeks Optimal Time to Experience Great Facial Features and Chubby Cheeks is around 28-34 weeks
2D GUARANTEED GENDER DETERMINATION: $90.00 • 5-10 minute 2D ultrasound session • Four 2D black & white prints
WEEKDAY QUICK PEEK SPECIAL: $125.00! (Not available weekends or after 4pm during the week)
Your Choice of: - 10 minute 4D ultrasound session recorded on DVD, set to music - 4 Black and White 3D pictures of your baby
- OR -
- 10-20 3D color images on CD in Jpeg Format - 2 Color 3D pictures of your baby
You also receive: • Complete Limited Diagnostic Ultrasound Session • Gender determination (upon request) • New Mommy Pack
Is 125 a good price? Will you be getting one? Have you gotten one?

Re: 3D-4D Ultrasound
I didn not get one...one of the main reasons is that those technicians aren't as well trained as radiologists and there is no system in place to make sure their machines are accuratley calibrated to teh correct frequency levels.
I'm also not a big fan of overuse and unecessary ultrasounds but to each their own!

Re: 3D-4D Ultrasound
From what I've seen here in NJ, those are good prices.
I really had no desire to do this, but my husband really wants to, especially after seeing some of the pictures posted here. Our anniversary is next week, so we are going to take the day off and have this done.

I am not a fan of these and did not/would not get one. I find them unneccesary and I worry that the heat from them is too strong for the baby. JMO

Those are good prices! I've usually seen them advertised for $150 in or near the city.
Do you have a link to that place?

Re: 3D-4D Ultrasound
I don't really know much about the prices. I have no interest in doing one, so we won't be.

Re: 3D-4D Ultrasound
I would love to get one, but since $$$$ is tight I decided to go with maternity pics instead. I really can't do both. Maybe I'll get lucky during my growth sono. A few of my friends who went ot the same place as me got to see the baby in 3d as part of the sono. XOXOXO BOTB

Re: 3D-4D Ultrasound
i never felt the need to have one done but at my 20 week sono the doctor was able to switch the machine over and said "okay now i'm going to take a couple of 3D pictures for you" and it was totally amazing!!!!! DH and i just looked at the screen in amazement. We were totally surprised and not expecting to have it done - but after seeing how amazing it was - i totally say do it!!!!
