We had to give DD mylicon with every bottle and that helped. We also used the playtex drop-ins and squeezed all the air out, so she wouldn't suck in anymore air than absolutely necessary.

are you using powder or the ready made formula. I found the powder to make DS fussy. he can be very gassy at times and i have given him little tummies gas drops which help. he is on similac advance.

I just went through this last week, my DS was SO gassy. We switched to similac sensitive (which I don't think helped and now he is constipated on it) and we changed to Dr. Brown's bottles which have been life-savers!! Also, I now pre-mix the powder in a pitcher so there aren't many bubbles from shaking the bottle. I have used the gripe water a few times and I do feel like it helps a little bit. It's definately trial and error. Plus they say the peak of fussiness is at 6 weeks so it may just be the age too. good luck, I know how stressful it is.

We have this issue with DD too and as of yesterday, my ped switched her to Similac Sensitive RS formula, told us to use Playtex Drop Ins and squeeze the air out, and also give her Mylicon drops after feeding.

we did the mylicon drops, and use the dr browns bottles- the drops helped, but when we switched to powder, that made all of the difference... every baby is different though!

My DD was very gassy as a NB also.
I got this from BRU - it's a formula mixing pitcher:
When you mix powder form, it has to settle b/c it's very gassy when you first mix.
That pitcher helped so much, as I was able to make her form for the day, and pour it out so that the bottles were ready to go!
Also used any of the gas drops - I think DD did better on the baby Gas X than all the others, and also gave her Gripe Water which helped tremendously.
