Baby measuring perfect...
what does that mean
I am 35wk1d and I had a doctors appointment this past Monday. Everytime I see her she says "The baby's measuring perfect." I don't really know what that means. I asked her if she'd do a growth sono and she said there's no need to because everything was measuring were it should be.
I guess I just want to know exactly (well an estimate) how much the baby weighs and the only answer I'm getting is "perfect".
Has anyone experienced this? Should I just pull up a chart from the internet and go by that and asssume that's what the doctor means by "perfect"?
TIA

Does your Dr measure your belly or feel it? Im assuming he/she feels everythign is within perfect range- not to big, or too small. if your weight gain, b/p, and movement of the baby are all good, then im pretty sure its safe to assume that everything is good.

Re: Baby measuring perfect...
When I have my sono's I always ask if they have an estimate on weight and they let me know...I don't ask when they measure my belly though

My Dr does the same thing, she also won't be doing anymore sono's unless it is medically necessary.
I thought maybe they didn't give size estimates until you get close to delivery?

Re: Baby measuring perfect...
My doctor always tell me the same thing. I have an appt tonight & I plan to ask her how much she thinks he weighs. I was originally told that I would get a growth sono @ 32 weeks but then when that time came she said I will get one around 36 weeks. So now I am going to get it done this Saturday. I can't wait to find out his estimated weight!

Yes, my doctor only measures my stomach and feels around for the baby. I haven't had anytype of an u/s since August. And my weight gain, b/p and movement has all been good.
I just get concerned because at the last u/s (in Aug) they said they baby looked big. So, I'm concerned that I'm going to have a big baby and she's not checking by u/s to get an accurate measurement of the baby.
I'll have to ask her again in 2wks. Thanks ladies
