Bedrest
I'm so upset. I had really bad swelling in my hands and feet this weekend. I had to get my ring cut off yesterday. I decided I should call the doctor just to play it safe. They had me come in right away and my blood pressure was very high. There was no protein in my urine which is good and my blood work came back ok. My doctor put me on bedrest so that I stay off my feet to let some of the swelling go down. I have to go back on Thursday to recheck my pressure. They will continue to check me after that....Anyone else have any experiences like this? I'm really upset anad just that my baby and I will be ok.

Re: Bedrest
One of my friends went through this a few months ago. She had terrible swelling and high BP. She was put on bedrest at 33 weeks. She delivered a healthy baby girl at 36 weeks. She was scheduled to be induced at 37 weeks, but obviously didn't make it to the induction.
Just take it easy, keep your feet up, drink lots of fluids. I am sure everything will be ok.

Thank you soooo much for the reassurance! I really appreciate it!

Re: Bedrest
I'm sorry! I'm glad you called your doctor though.
My doctor told me to take another week off (not really bedrest but couch potatoe rest) for a different reason other than yours and it has been really relaxing. I hope you find it to be the same way.
Good Luck at your next appt. I am sure you will be fine!

Re: Bedrest
I'm sorry. I have really bad swelling. At my last appointment, I had elevated blood pressure and slight traces of protein in my urine. The doctor wants to monitor me closely and mentioned I may have to go out of work early. I'm definitely concerned about it, but hopefully I'll have a better appointment on Monday.
I hope everything is ok with you.

Yes. My doctor told me that I can't be at work. I go back on Thursday. I'm not sure if he is going to keep me on bedrest or let me go about my business and monitor me. Good luck to you too!
