Was Your Baby Breeched During the Growth Sono?

If your baby was breeched during the growth sono (32 weeks and after) did you feel more movement?

And did the baby finally moved to the correct position near the due date?

DS was breech for a good portion of my pregnancy. I felt a ton of movement and his head was leaning on my right rib cage. It was very uncomfortable. I was told that if he didn't flip on his own, then they would try to manually flip him. But, I went online and read about different ways to get the baby to flip. I played classical music on the lower half of my belly (close to the pubic bones) using headphone and my Ipod. I did this for about an hour and DS was moving around the crazy from the time I started the music until the next morning. He actually kept me up that night! When I woke up the next morning I was able to bend to my right (which I wasn't able to do in the past b/c he was leaning on my rib cage).

I went for another sono a few days later and he had flipped to the head down position!!

DS was breach at 26 weeks. They had me do some crazy exercises to make him rotate which worked. By 27 weeks he turned head down and never flipped again.

Both my babies were breech at 32 weeks. my first never turned and he was born at 37 weeks by c/s after my water broke.

#2 turned at 36 weeks and I was able to have a v-birth!

My DD was breech during my whole pregnancy - I was high-risk and had sono's done at least a one month and sometimes more towards the end and each time she was in the breech position. So, I had a scheduled c-section.

dd was head down at my level II at my 32 week sono she turned breech and stayed that way. i had to have csection.

My baby was breech from about 30 weeks on. I tried all the positions to turn him plus I had an external cephalic version, but that didn't work. He was born via c-section at 39 weeks.

DD was breech until 38 when my water broke. I was already scheduled to have a c-section the following week because she was breech. I felt so much movement with her. I loved seeing her head move back and forth all the time and the kicks . I thought a foot was going to pop out of me.

Abby was breech and turned at week 35. I had an emergency c-section anyway.

Thanks for everyone's responses so far.

My doctor actually mentioned that there's only a 50% chance of the baby turning if he is still breeched at 32 weeks.

Could that be true? It seems so from the poll answers...

Both my growth sonos baby was head down. With DD it was at 35 weeks and with DS it was 34 weeks.

I know my SIL had a breech baby and he didn't turn. She even tried the external version but it didn't work so she ended up having a C-section.

ds was breech at 32 wks and flipped on his own. I knew it bc one night i was in bed and felt like he was beating me up inside!!!! then his movements felt different after that

I attempted a manual external version by my two OBs & it didn't work. I regret doing it. Had a great c-section experience. It was scheduled for 39 weeks.

My dd was transverse (sideways) and finally turned head down. She then turned sideways again....while I was in LABOR!

I had a c/s. My son was also sideways.

My dr. thinks I dont have room to deliver babies the natural way. Neither of them ever dropped into the birth canal.

i have 4 teenage girls,and my son just turned 1 yr old last week.i had all the girls vaginaly.my son turned breech at 37 weeks,they had me due exercises to try and make him turn,no luck,they had me go to the hospital for a external version(they tried to turn him,no luck,very,very painful)they schedualed me for a c-section st 39 weeks.all was fine. i still felt alot of movement,with him breech

Does the doctor think you didn't have enough room vertically to allow the baby to drop?

I had a sono done at 30 weeks and DS was breech then. He never turned. I did everything I could to get him to turn. I inverted myself (check our spinningbabies.com), played music, went for acupuncture. Nothing worked. I had a C- section scheduled for 10/24 but DS had other plans. My water broke on 10/12 and he was born 10/13 via emergency C-section. Throughout my pregnancy, DS was very active. He moved all the time and I felt him on my right side. If I played Tom Petty (don't ask= I don't get it) he moved even more!

My baby was breech up until about 36 weeks. She turned! I was already scheduled for a c section for different reasons, but if she stayed breech it would have been def section.

DD was breech until about 27 weeks then she turned....and at 32 week sono, she was breech again...and she stayed that way...I had a scheduled c-section.
