Hi ladies!
Just wanted to introduce myself...I got my bfp last weekend and I am currently 5 days late. I tested with several digitals to confirm, just 1 wouldn't do!  My first appointment isn't until Nov. 21st but I have had some symptoms that confirm the pregnancy. I'm cramping on and off, I am sensitive to smells and my (.) (.) are sensitive which is not at all normal for me. So far DH and I are cautiously optimistic!
I'm hoping to "officially" join the board after our appointment. Please send some growing dust our way!
In the mean time, I have a silly question: is it ok early in pregnancy to paint a room? DH and I were supposed to paint this weekend. Is it ok if I paint and smell the paint fumes? Thanks for your advice girls!

Congrats!
As far as the paint, I personally like to stay away from chemicals as much as possible. But that is just me, I don't know if it really causes harm.

I painted the baby's room when I was in my 2nd trimester. We used latex paint which doesn't smell as much as oil based, and opened a window. It was fine.

Congrats and welcome! As far as painting... I would only do it if it's low-VOC or no-VOC paint.

Thanks for the replies ladies! I ended up not painting. It was actually to help a friend and there was no way of knowing if it was the right type of paint. In the end my DH ended up going to help and I just stayed home. I figured, just in case, why risk it?
I'm hoping to really start posting in just 19 days! (but I'm not counting or anything... )

i love the stuff being pg you can get away with- dh unloads the car full of groceries when i get home, painting he'll be doing on his own too
