Benadryl
My dr. gave me the ok to take benadryl for my cold, but didn't say if I should take one or two...
For those who have taken it, how much did you take?

I would start with one to be honest. Pre pg I would only take one and it would knock me out.

Usually the normal dose for benadryl PG or not is 25mg orally, usually 1 pill.
For an allergic reaction or something more severe they may recomend 50 mg.
I would stick with 1 pill.

I take 2 - but I have really bad allergies and take it in place of my normal daily Claratin if I'm having a bad day -
I'd start w/ 1 and if it doesn't help ask the Dr if it's ok for you to take 2

My doc told me 25 mil. It will knock you out though- I can only take it at night. During the day he said Sudafed was fine but it really doesn't help I am so sick today and miserable. I keep thanking God though that is a cold and not the nasty stomach virus my DD had last week
