Sharp Pain on my Rt side
I'm 11 weeks and last night I got up to go upstairs to bed and felt this sharp pain on my right side. I went upstairs to lay down and I only felt it when I moved. When I woke up in the middle of the night to pee (like I do every night) the pain was gone and I feel ok today. Should I be worried? Is that normal in the first tri?

most likely that is the start of round ligament pains...they will get worse 
They can actually get so strong they can take your breath away! There is nothing you can do about them. They are caused by your musscles and ligaments stretching making room for

Yeah I think I got a few on and off then...around 14 weeks it really kicks in!! It really varies from woman to woman but its normal

WAIT A SECOND.....
Really????????? I'm 7w1d and i had something VERY VERY similar the other night...i want to say Sunday night...
I fell asleep on the couch in kinda a weird position, on my back, but more tilted onto my side... When I went to get up, i couldn't. It hurt too bad. Then I tried again, it HURT again, couldn't get up. Then I finally had Dave stand in front of me and PULL me up and i wound up cracking THREE of his knuckles because the pain was horrible & I squeezed the heck out of his hand...but as soon as i was standing it was fine..
is THAT what it was????? I thought maybe i just crashed in a weird position!!!!!!!!!!!!

that's about when I started with round ligament pains....sometimes it helps if you lean to the side that the pain is on.

I had a lot of sharp side pains during the first trimester. It's normal.

But Erica is 11 weeks, i'm only 7, was 6w6d at the time....
is it okay for me too??? it was really, really bad pain...really scary...but since it hasn't come back since - i didn't think much of it.
but i'll be honest - every time i get up from the couch now - i'm nervous!

They aren't round ligament pains for you...You aren't far along for those ligaments to be "active" yet. You probaly just had notmal muscles and ligament stretching........ Its normal

This was my first time feeling the pain, but it may be normal earlier. Other girls said it happened in their first tri, but I'm like you... still new at this. When is your next Dr appt?

I had it today - i forgot to mention it - because the pain hasn't come back... Still waiting on the call from the nurse about my bloodwork...i guess i could ask her...

Okay, i'm going to chalk it up to 'i slept in an odd position' i think....i'm still nervous when i get up from the couch now though! i'll get over that one!

I had this pain, I went to the ER it was GAS!! I thouhgt I was dying. I was more embarrased that it was gas. You body is not you own anymore. Get ready for all sorts of interesting pains and pulls.

I had really sharp pains at the beginning. Then, I had cramps, pains, stretching, etc on and off throughout the first trimester. I also had really bad cramps and side pains around 9 weeks. It wasn't RLP, but it was probably from everything stretching and growing. It's hard not to worry, but it's normal.
