Which bottles did you register for?

I went with my sister who has three kids, and I picked two different types of bottles. I plan on BF and bottle feeding. I only got 4oz in both since I'm not sure what type of bottle my child will like.

The two bottles I got where"
Avent (BPA free)
Platex drop in

I have heard really good things about Dr. Brown bottles as well.

Re: Which bottles did you register for?

I used Drop-Ins for my DD once I started pumping (ped. recommended them). I loved them since she liked them as much as she could like a bottle and they were easy to clean.

Re: Which bottles did you register for?

I registered for Born Free and the Playtex Drop In's... I also get some I think with the Medela pump.

I am a little confused as to when I will use the bottles, because I plan to breast feed--- unless I can store a whole lotta breast milk, then transfer to the bottles. Chat Icon

Do you use Platex or Avent Dro-Ins? Also, did you get the Drop-In bags that hold BM?

The Medela Pump has storage bottles. You can then transfer the BM into your bottles if you need them. If you plan on working, you will probably need to use Bottles at some point. My sister said the Medela Pump has bottles that hook right up to the pumps.

Re: Which bottles did you register for?

I did some research and narrowed down to 3. I've noted some cons for the one I didn't pick...

- Born Free BPA Free
- Playtex Dropins (not as environmentally firiendly)
- Dr. Browns (too difficult to wash)

Ended up picking the Born Free 'cus of the rave reviews and popularity with moms...

Re: Which bottles did you register for?

I pump into my Medela bottles and also use the Born Free bottles. I actually prefre the Medela ones since the nipple doesn't collapse like the Born Free ones do.

Re: Which bottles did you register for?

Registered for the even flo glass bottles, but only a few since I am planning to EBF and I'm sure I may change my mind on what bottles to use later on.

Re: Which bottles did you register for?

We started off with the Born Free bottles and she was taking in too much air with them and spitting up a lot. We switched over to the Playtex Drop Ins and I LOVE them!!!! She hardly spits up since there is practically no air in the bottle. I'm very happy we made the switch and as an added bonus.........no bottles to clean and sterilize which is awesome!!!! Chat Icon

We got the Avent BPA free. We also have a couple of free samples of other kinds just in case he's not a fan of the Avent.
