Great INS News!!!
So starting 1/1/09 DH and I will be getting insurance through my employer (due to DH's career changes, etc). So I was sooo nervous my pregnancy was going to be considered "pre-exisiting". Yippy, its not. SOO HAPPY!! Go Unitied Healthcare
Now, what stinks is I'll have to register twice with my hospital, one before 12/31 and one after 1/1. Oh well. Its worth it to not pay cobra!

That's great!
As long as there's no lapse in coverage, pregnancy isn't considered a pre-existing condition.

There are a few exceptions, but under HIPAA, insurance companies cannot consider pregnancy a pre-existing condition.
