Re: Gyros ok??
Sure. You can have whatever Greek you want, as long as the cheese is pasteurized. I had souvlaki the other night. It was de-lish.

Re: Gyros ok??
do whatever you feel comfortable with...I have had feta throughout my pregnancy...I'm craving salt, and the salt and cheese combo you can't go wrong...but everyone does what is comfortable for them..yes if the cheese is pasteurized its supposed to be OK... Gyros should be fine too, just the salt in them may make you retain some water....

Re: Gyros ok??
Gyros are ok and so is feta.
I have feta cheese everyday for dinner (no greek meal without it)....I have the real one from the barrel that smells.
Wanted to add: if you order Gyro try to get the real one (chicken that is sliced) and not the beef one (don't eat those..they put all the leftovers in that and process it!)...yuck....
Enjoy!

What about lamb, there is a turkish place in bk that uses lamb, and its possibly the best gyro I've ever had in my life!!!!!

Re: Gyros ok??
Yes they are completely fine...as is the feta cheese.
Greek restaurants are required to use domestic feta which is pastuerized..I wouldnt worry at all about receiving imported feta in error. It would cost prohibited for them to use it as it is extremely expensive...
My neighbor is Greek and was a co owner of Gyro Palace.
