I got my C-section date
only 27 more days
i am absolutley petrified. my doctor told me my dh won't be with me when i get the epidural....so i said who is going to hold me and he said me  he also told me that now they keep the catheter in your back for a day or two after the surgery. mine was taken out right after i had ds. i went threw this once already. but my anxiety is so bad i petrified!

I only got a spinal with both my c-sections. I guess every doctor is different. Did you get staples or stitches? I got stitches that dissolve.

I had a spinal but when they did it DH couldn’t be there and my L&D nurse gave me a pillow to hug and I did that leaned forward and she hugged me and it was over in a jiff! Don’t worry! In 27 days you will have your LO with you!

The same with me. I did not have the cathetar in my back at all.

with ds i had staples. the resident even ask if i wanted to remove one myself! they didnt hurt at all.

i hope it is over in a jiff! i think this is what i fear the most not the pain but the epi, but i know it will be over in a few minutes. i also told him make sure you give me nausea meds bc i am not barfing!

i hope it is over in a jiff! i think this is what i fear the most not the pain but the epi, but i know it will be over in a few minutes. i also told him make sure you give me nausea meds bc i am not barfing!
OHH I got sick too!
For me the more painful part was the IV. That sucker hurt! The spinal was a pinch and then it was over! But an epi might be different.
ETA: You know, my dr had told me I was getting an EPI but then we got to the hospital I was told spinal. Apparently recently they had changed and began giving spinals more often, cant remember the reasoning though. But my Dr actually asked the anesthesiologist why not an epi.
