When should i start interviewing PED MD

Just curious when i should start calling around and making appts. to meet with. Im 23weeks and 5 days now. Thanks again

i actually just called yesterday to make my very first new patient consult appointment with a ped. The woman i spoke with said i'm one of her first 2009 babies - but it certainly isn't too early to start. I'm 27 weeks. I'm sure you can start looking around now and making your appointments. You aren't too far behind me!

ETA: at my 26 week appointment my OB told me if we haven't chosen a ped yet, then it was time to start looking. I hadn't planned on doing it yet, but upon his recommendation I figured it's better to start on the earlier side (or at least it couldn't hurt) - just in case you dont find a doc you and DH are comfortable with right away and have to go to a few or if you deliver early...JMO

I'm almost 31 weeks and haven't done this yet. I have an OB appointment next week and plan to ask my doctor for recommendations. I think most people look for pediatricians around 7-8 months.

We just had a bunch of appointments last week in my 35th week. I would have liked to have done it earlier but other things kept popping up. Luckily we found one we are very happy with and don't have to look further because we are starting to cut it close (especially considering my may be making an early arrival!)

DO you HAVE to interview Peds? I mean.. what do you really ask them?

I thought Id just pick one based on friend recs.

We started looking around 30 weeks.
