Teething & Tylenol/Motrin??
Have you girls used Tylenol or Motrin at all when you know they're teething? do you give it to them at night before bedtime or throughout the day as well? How much do you give... .04ml?
Just curious what you all do and if you use it at all or not.
I know some don't like to use it all and some do. I'm not sure where i stand on it so i'm curious to know what you ladies do.

Re: Teething & Tylenol/Motrin??
Kaydyn is def teething so I've given her some tylenol before bed about 3 times in the past week b/c when I don't she wakes up in the middle of the night several times crying. The dose depends on the weight of the baby, so I would call and ask your ped how much to give.

Re: Teething & Tylenol/Motrin??
I give dd Tylenol when shes teething. I bought motrin in case it gets really bad but I have not given it to her yet. I will give it to her before bed if it looks like it will be a bad night but if its bothering her during the day I will give her some then too.

Re: Teething & Tylenol/Motrin??
I've given Motrin to DD several times this week before bed. She is teething something fierce right now, there are about 3-4 all coming in at the same time.
Like a PP said, the amount all depends on the weight of the child. My ped gave me a little chart to go by. She also said only Tylenol until she was 6 months old.

I don't think Jacen is old enough for Motrin. I thought 6 months for it (although we've never used it)
I have given Tylenol for teething, but usually just at night

Oh okay. I don't even have motrin, but i know that some use it. I think we'll give him some tylenol tonight and see if it helps.
ETA: Has anyone used those teething tablets? Do they have to be a certain age?

Re: Teething & Tylenol/Motrin??
We used the teething tablets but DD was 7 1/2 months old. A few weeks after that we started with Motrin at night to relieve the pain.
I also used the frozen teething rings, wet frozen washcloths and let DD bite me, frozen banana or apple in mesh teething bags to she couldn't choke on anything

I was using Tylenol...but DD is old enough for Mortin now, so I use that. I see a visable difference in her personality when she takes it. I think it helps a lot.
