typical exhaustion
ok, so i know being tired and exhausted is a normal symptom of pregnancy - but how bad is it? i'm just wondering because i'm constantly tired and exhausted (like i just ran three miles) out of breath, etc. and it's not like i'm in bad shape (i typically walk 2.5 or more miles a day and am on my feet constantly as a teacher). today i was dragging, took me forever to get home (i walk), and i'm having a hard time sitting at the computer right now - it's only 6:30! my mom saw me last night and said i looked pale and i should ask the dr about anemia. she had it with all three of her pregnancies (though i don't know if it's hereditary or not). i'm also a vegetarian and generally eat really well, but have been having trouble lately because of morning sickness.
i'm just wondering if what i'm experiencing is normal or not. i didn't really think twice about it until my mom said something and a coworker asked if i was ok today (though he is a bit overdramatic). i'm about 7.5 weeks-ish.

Re: typical exhaustion
Totally normal.
My first trimester my exhaustion was at times so unbearable I'd be in tears. The good news is, it does subside. It hasn't gone away completely, some days I'm still soooooooooo exhausted, but it's not as often.

Re: typical exhaustion
I am 8 weeks pregnant and the exhaustion is unbearable. I really hope the next 9 months are not like this.
ETA: While I definitely hope you feel better, I am glad to know I am not the only one who is unbelievably exhausted.

Ditto, now at 31 weeks its creeping back up again, but not like it was in the beginning! I'm normally full of energy and never stop, this was literally shocking to me and I would literally cry about how tired and exhausted I was!!!!

Re: typical exhaustion
I am 13 weeks and pass out on the couch by 8:30PM. I am also vegetarian and asked my OB about anemia. My doctor checks for it with bloodwork a few times during pregnancy. My doc also said that prenatals take care of most deficiencies in diet. Basically, being tired is very normal in the beginning.
