question about cats
I never really paid attention to what you should and shouldn't do if your pregnant and being around cats...I'm a dog lover  . I'm going to visit my best friend down south in acouple of weeks and she just got a cat. I can play with it right, I'm just not suppost to go near the litter box? Please help. thanks

I have a cat and the only difference in the house is that DH now does all the litter cleaning and changing. Don't worry about it one bit.

I have two cats - it is perfectly fine to be around them just don't change their litter and you will be fine when you visit your friend.

if you pet the cat just wash your hands after. should be no problem at all as long as you are not changing the liter.

Playing with cats is ok, pregnant women are not supposed to change the litter though.
My DH has been changing the litterbox, but I'd be lost without my cat! :)
