I believe you have a sprinkle if this isn't your first child, it is a samller get together of close family/friends.

a sprinkle is usually for baby # 2 or 3...it is smaller than a shower with CLOSE friends and family....

This is my understanding. Also, a lot of people do not register for a sprinkle since you have all the big ticket items already. Some do register-especially if the baby-to-be is a different gender.

It is basically another shower - I never heard of or met anyone who had a sprinkle before these boards.
