NPR: But it fits best here....

I developed nosebleeds during my pregnancy with Caden. Usually the left nostril but sometimes it was both.

Well Caden is 14 months old today and I still get nosebleeds...usually the left nostril. This happens several times a week. It appears to have something to do with me hanging my head upside down. (Like when you go to put your hair up you bend over) But it happens at other times too.

Well as of 7:30 am I am on my 4th nosebleed in 24 hours. Each one lasting 10 minutes or so....

Anyone experience this postpartum or is there something else going on here?

(yes Im going to the doctor I just want to know if anyone else had this experience post partum)b

Do you have a lot of dry air in your house? I got nosebleeds during my pregnancies but I had gotten them before too. Mostly during the change of seasons and all the dry air from our heat.

I've never experienced this but I do have dry air in my house and it's affecting my skin. Maybe it's from that? I hope you get some answers at the doc. Chat Icon Chat Icon

I have forced hot air in my house and I got constant nosebleeds in my home when I was pregnant until we had a humidifier installed.

Maybe it could be your heating system?Chat Icon

It's not from dry air. I got them at the tail end of my pregnancy and they have continued...

Ive gotten them 3x per week since he's been born...although that could very well be why Ive had 4 in the past 24 hour period.

Well, this probably is not the case with you, but you never know. Nicholas gets nosebleeds. He had bloodwork done and he has Factor VII deficiency. It's a clotting disorder and nosebleeds are very common. Although he's had them pretty much all of his life and if you just started getting them it is probably something else. Just thought I would mention it though Chat Icon

Heather, I agree with the above. Although you probably have had more recently to the change in weather. But it couldn't hurt to get bloodwork done. I found out about my clotting disorder when I was a toddler, because of excessive nosebleeds.

I agree with both of you that there could be an issue. I do have some (well most) of the symptoms of a connective tissue disorder and one of them is nose bleeds.
