Re: Co-Sleeper VS. Bassinet

I am using the bassinet that has been in our family for generations. I don't want the baby in the bed w/ us.

Re: Co-Sleeper VS. Bassinet

LOL, i bought both! Bassinett for downstairs and a co sleeper for my room..plus a crib, can you tell i over shop...

I have a tri level home and didnt feel like going up and down stairs so much so i decided to go with both..figured i would make it easy on myself..

My husband thinks i am nutso as i tend to over do it on things!!

Good Luck!

I used the co-sleeper last time and will again. I really, really loved it. I loved having DS so close to me.

Re: Co-Sleeper VS. Bassinet

I was given a bassinet.. still debating if i want to just buy my own. Not gonna get the co sleeper because i do have a dog that we are in mist of training to stay off bed and she will just want to check out the baby the whole time.

I too have a small dog that sleeps in bed with us and I never thought about him creeping over to the co sleeper to play with the baby Chat Icon A bassinet might be a better idea!

Neither. He is going straight tot he crib. I will have the crib in our room for 6 months, then his own room. I find a bassinet to be a waste of money (JMO) and Im not a fan of co-sleeping.

I like this thing. The baby is next to me, but not actually in the bed with me.

Re: Co-Sleeper VS. Bassinet

I love the Arm's reach cosleeper. I think there are some misconceptions about co-sleepers as I keep seeing people post they don't want the baby in bed with them.

The co-sleeper I have attaches to the side of our bed. So- when she wakes in the night, I don't have to get up and go to a cradle/bassinet. Rather, I can just reach over and pull her to me.

It was also a wonderful feeling to be able to just reach over and feel that she was still breathing (something that I worried about incessantly in the beginning) and OK.

We have the Arm's Reach mini co-sleeper.
