BM dress after baby
Im due the end of May, beg of June.
Im a BM in a wedding mid October.
Yesterday I went to get my dress, and explained that I was preggo and due a few month before the wedding.
I have full intentions to get my body back, but it took awhile with my first so Im not sure how long it will take with this baby.
We decided to order 2 sizes bigger than my normal size....she said its easier to go in then it is to make it bigger.
My alterations cap at $75-so if I get right back to my size, its not going to be more than $75...
So you think that sounds about right??? Anyone else in this situation (or been in the situation)

I think for 5 months PP 2 sizes up is a perfect size to order.

Congratulations! I'm going to be a BM 5 months after I have the baby. SIL chose a JCrew dress. I just ordered 2 dresses and will return 1 of them. At 7 months pregnant, the dress 2 sizes up completely zips up. The dress 1 size up surprisingly zips up over my belly, but it's too small from my ribs up. I'm planning on BFing and I'm not sure whether I'll be able to fully zip up the dress thant's only 1 size larger. Since it's always better to take a larger dress in, I'll probably just stick with the dress 2 sizes up.

I am due early May and will be the MOH at my sister's wedding in December. We are ordering my dress in March, and I think I will do the two sizes up thing too.
My DH is always telling me to think positively, so I am sure we will all look beautiful!!

i think a lot depends on the style of the dress.
I was a BM 3 months after i had my 1st DD, i ordered my regular prepregnancy size and it was fine.

Its a Bill Levkoff dress...the woman at the store said the run a bit big...
I really want to be back to my original weight by then, but ya never know..

I don't have any advice to give, but I have to tell you I am SO jealous..I'm my sister's MOH three-four WEEKS after I'm due! You have plenty of time.

I am have my SIL's wedding 5 months after giving birth. I ordered way bigger than my original size, I figured it's definitely better to take in.
I definitely hope... I will be back... or at least, close to my size by then.

I was just in a friends wedding...at 6 months pp. I put off ordering the dress until literally the last day allowed because I had no idea what to do. Last June I was in one also and wore a size 4...I needed an 8 this time.

BTDT! I was a BM 4 mos PP last year, and I did 2 sizes bigger. My boobs needed it more than anything since I was BFing & they got all porn huge on me.
This time I am in my BIL & FSIL BP 4wks past my EDD. I am already signed up for body boot camp

Im due in Jan, and am MOH in Key West in June. I fit into the sample dress when I was 8weeks. I ordered one size bigger and plan on busting my booty to have it taken in.

I went 2 sizes up for the BM dress for 5 months PP---1 size up probably would have fit great, but I had it taken in and it was fine

I'm due in early April & I'm in my best friend's wedding in late October. I think I'm going to order just one size up (I have to order in the next couple of months). I was back to my normal size before 6 months PP with DD so I'm hoping I'll do it again. I know I'll prob need one size up since my boobs have gotten much larger.

Marissa, my SIL was a BM in my wedding in February 2006 after having my niece in October of 2005. It was also a Bill Levikoff dress (did you get from Macy's?) and she also ordered 2 sizes bigger and got back to her weight and the dress looked beautiful!!

Nope- Bridal Suite of Centereach.
I lost all the weight from RJ and then an addl: 6lbs- but it took almost 3 years for me to get my @ss in gear and work for it.
I KNOW I can do it- its get the motivation that scares me...
Hopefully all that $$$ on a dress will get me going

I was just in my brother's wedding last weekend and I am only 6 weeks pp. I was measured at 4 months pregnant and when I tried on the dress it was falling off of me  I was so afraid that it wouldn't fit me (being too small).

I was in my sister's wedding 3 moonths PP. I was normally a 10 pre-pregnancy- but I ordered a 14 and it was fine.
TOT, but I had to pump throughout the day and the groomsmen were amazed at how my boobs changed throughout the day. I'd come back from the bridal suite and they'd say- "you just emptied the funbags, didn't you...?"

I did the same. I'm having the baby mid January and am in a wedding in July. I ordered two sizes bigger also. Hopefully it'll be to big.
