Had another work shower yesterday....
this time at my NYC office...i was floored...I was crying and the generosity of my officce. I looked around the room and everyone else was crying too. Everyone was there, not just a handful of people that have been to other work gatherings. I could not believe how everyone felt about me and my future son. They got me my pack and play, convertable carseat and snap and go stroller. I also got diapers, wipes and a homemade, gorgeous blanket. After the party, people kept coming up to me with additional gifts that they wanted to give me outside of the gifts that everybody contributed towards. I got clothes, a gorgeous leather baby album and a beautiful frame.
Yesterday was my last day of work at the city office and I must say it was rather difficult to leave. I guess you really never know how much of an impact you have on others.
