Massage?

I'm 5 weeks, 6 days today....my back is KILLING me...

it's too late to have a NON-pre-natal massage, right?

I have a spa menu from the Spa at East Wind and on the back it says massages are not recommended for high risk or 1st tri-mester pregnancies but I would call your ob anyway and find out a definate answer

I was also told to completely avoid massage until the 2nd trimester...I'm dying to use a gc I got to Cactus for a pre-natal massage...I'm 19 weeks and I think I'm ready!!!!!!!!

Most if not all massage places will not do a massage if you are in your first trimester.

They recommend that you wait until your 2nd trimester....I am 18wks and just got a massage this past weekend - it was heaven! But even at 18wks, I still had to have a drs note in order for them to give me the massage.

You are not supposed to have massages until the second trimester.

I believe light massages are ok though. I had booked a spa appointment without knowing we weren't supposed to. The therapist massaged my feet and gave me a very light massage. The massage wasn't nearly as good as I normally like it but the foot/scalp portion felt good.
